My Story
In March of 2007, my life changed forever. It was my first glimpse of a Scentsy warmer. I had gone over to a friend’s home to visit and immediately noticed that her house smelled amazing. As I looked around her home my eyes landed on a beautiful ceramic object with glimmering lights shining through. What is that, I thought? I really want one! I asked her about it and she told me, Scentsy! She continued to explain to me what Scentsy was and how it worked… I was hooked! I asked her if she had an extra catalog that I could look at and who I could contact for more information.
As I went home that day my mind was turning with excitement. I’m a stay at home mom and had been wanting to earn just $100 extra per month to use on whatever I wanted; clothes, decorations, or a movie night with my children. Anxiously I thought, I’ve never sold anything or even wanted to sell anything! Plus, I’ve never even gone to other home parties that my friends have invited me to! How in the world would I sell Scentsy? I was a little scared to ask my husband what he thought that night because deep down I really wanted to be a part of Scentsy, but I wasn’t’ sure how he would feel about me spending $99 on a kit to sell candles. With all those thoughts going through my head and the excitement of being a part of something that immediately drew my attention, I called the next day to sign up. WHAT DID I JUST DO, I thought! I was freaking out so much that I called my sister and explained what I had just done. As she saw my excitement, she ended up signing up the next day as well! It has been so fun to be able to enjoy our Scentsy Journey together!
Soon after signing up, I did my launch party and invited all my friends and neighbors. It was a success as I sold just over $600. I didn’t think that was too bad. That single event earned me the Shooting Star Award, which is to sell $500 in your first 15 days. The next part in my journey was to make my List of 100, which I did and then began reaching out. I worked hard and was able to earn the Scentsational Start Level 3 (selling at least $5,000 in 70 days). At this point, my vision had changed. Instead of earning just an extra $100 per month, I could really help and make an impact on our monthly finances. I achieved the status of Director in September of 2007, Star Director in November of 2008, and then SuperStar Director in November of 2009. What a journey it has been! The amazing thing is that it’s not over!
As I said at the beginning, reading this could CHANGE YOUR LIFE! This is my story and this is how it has changed mine. Scentsy has enriched my life in so many ways. It has made it possible for me to work a few hours per week while continuing to stay home with my 6 children. It has allowed me to have that extra money every month for those things that I wanted and for our family to put away some extra. It has even allowed me to take a few trips to amazing places and make lifelong friends… friends I would have never met if I was not part of the Scentsy Family. It has been so much more than “just a candle business”. It has been an enriching and fulfilling part of my life!
